It's spring . . . now, get me the heck out of here!

April 12, 2013 ~ Our springtime snow man. . .He's four stories high.
It is April 13th, I believe. It's hard to be sure considering the fact that here in Minnesota ( home of Viva la Vida Travel), winter has been our constant companion since roughly mid October. At this stage of the game, most of us Mid-westerners are at our wits end.We are numb to the cold with  glazed over eyes that have been blinded by the continuous white landscape;the idea of any other colors existing in this world really does seem like some sort of wild fantasy.

Today, Viva la Vida Travel will bring you snippets of colorful inspirations intended to get you thinking about your next adventure. The beautiful thing about taking time to travel is that it affords us new landscapes, sounds, tastes, and experiences just when we need it the most. It's integral to our survival, especially for us Midwesterners in the dead of winters  (and in this years case, spring.) Let the power of photos take you places in your mind. and as you dream about how you'd love to go there, turn your dream into reality by taking the next step to travel ~ planning it with Viva la Vida Travel. This time next year, you will be the one snapping pictures of your colorful surroundings and you will be thanking yourself for  giving yourself the gift that keeps on giving ~ memories.

First, let's take a trip to the sea. The Caribbean sea to be exact.

Imagine it : What on earth would you have on your mind while gazing out at this
There really is nothing better than a blazingly hot piece of Jamaican Jerk chicken, rice and peas and plantains chased with an ice cold Red Stripe beer. DEEE-LISH!

St. Lucia ~
"Hey!! We're IN the water and not ON the water! What a great concept!" says the couple from Minnesota in January while on vacation in St. Lucia!

Fog Bridge, Costa Rica.
Ooh, its so warm and humid and it smells like earth and rain. Can't you just smell it now?
Arenal Volcano and hot springs.
"Boy, these waters feel good on my achey Minnesota bones. Why haven't we gone here before??"

Okay, feel free to wipe the drool off of your chin, blink your eyes a couple of times and bring yourself back to reality. If you have lost yourself in fantasies of travel, then my job is done for the day.  Traveling is all about inspiration. Inspiration to see the world from a different point of view ~ a relaxed and curious view. It's about taking time to enjoy your surroundings without the stress of thinking about the fact that you should probably be cleaning out your garage or picking up a winters worth of dog poop in the yard.Take the time out of your busy schedule to invest in YOU and remember that Viva la Vida Travel is all about YOUR dream vacation.

I'll wind this blog up on a tasty little note. Get your swizzle sticks and mini-umbrellas up and get ready to whip up an island concoction sure to inspire you to have someone else make you more!
